Graham was first elected to the District Council in 2003 representing Great Notley Ward. Since 2015 he has been one of the three councillors for Great Notley & Black Notley Ward. He is a member and former Chairman of Great Notley Parish Council. Graham has lived on Great Notley since 1997.
Graham was elected Leader of Braintree District Council in 2004, a position he still holds.
He is also an Essex County Councillor representing Three Fields with Great Notley Division.
Graham serves on the South East Local Enterprise Partnership (SELEP), Success Essex, the Essex Health & Well-being Board, the East of England Local Government Association, the Great Notley Country Park Board, and Transport East.
Graham has recently retired as the CEO of East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices following a career in senior posts in HM Customs & Excise, the Department of Health and the National Health Service.
