Biography:

Kevin was first elected to Braintree District Council in May 2015, representing the Silver End and Cressing ward.  He was re-elected as a District Councillor in May 2019 as one of the two councillors for the Braintree South ward.  

Kevin first served on the Overview and Scrutiny Committee from May 2015, before becoming a member of the Planning Committee in April 2016, a position he still holds. In May 2019, Kevin also became a member of the Local Plan Sub-Committee, this is also a position he still holds.

Kevin joined the Cabinet in April 2017 and is still a current member. He first became Deputy Cabinet Member for Economic Development and held this position until May 2019, when he became Cabinet Member for Homes. This is a position he held for two years before becoming the Cabinet Member for Housing, Assets and Skills in April 2021. 

Kevin is also a Freeman of the City of London, following being awarded the Freedom of the City in 2013. He is also a Liveryman with The Worshipful Company of Spectacle Makers.
