Biography:

Cllr Wiliam Rose, known as Bill, is married and has 2 grown-up children, a Daughter, and a Son.

Bill has represented the Witham West Ward as a Conservative, continuously since 2007, and up until May 2019 was also a member of Witham Town Council, where he was Town Mayor for the civic year 2014-2015.

 

Bill has served on the Overview and Scrutiny committee at BDC as well as several Task and Finish Groups and has previously served as a Deputy Portfolio holder on BDC Cabinet for Economic Development.

 

He trained as an Engineer, moving onto mobile radio systems communication installations and was also a member of The Royal Signals and has served with Essex Police.

 

Bill currently is Vice Chairman of BDC Licensing and a member of the BDC Appeals Committee and a member of the BDC Performance Management Board.
